Duane Hookom |
Access MVP since 2001, husband since 1976, father since 1980, grandpa since 2003 |
| My formal education is a bachelors degree in Recreation, Parks, and Leisure Studies
from the University of Minnesota. I got Hook'D on programming when our office
(city parks and recreation department) recieved its first IBM PC with dual floppy drives.
I took an eight evening class in programming in basic on an Apple computer.
This lead to creating class registration, ice arena scheduling, sports league management,
tree inventory, and several other database applications using dBASE II - Clipper. I had a mid-life crisis and became a contract programmer developing mostly in MS Access starting with version 1.1. One of my earliest clients (the world's largest food company) is my current employer. I work mostly with SQL Server developing intranet solutions using ColdFusion and ASP. I'm a WOOT-AHOLIC and the proud owner of a half dozen screaming WOOT monkeys, too many MP3 players, and a drawer full of gadgets I might use some day. |
